Can You Buy Liquor in Maryland on Sundays?

Some counties of Maryland allow liquor to be sold on Sundays whereas others do not, according to Legal Beer. Maryland has no state laws restricting the sale of liquor.

According to Maryland Bartending Academy, the counties that restrict the sale of alcohol on Sundays are Montgomery County, Somerset County, Wicomo County and Worcestor County. The sale of alcohol on Sundays is also prohibited in some areas of Garrett County and Baltimore County. Others counties of Maryland allow the sale of liquor and other types of alcohol on all days of the week. Maryland Bartending Academy also states that each jurisdiction in Maryland is permitted to restrict the sale of alcoholic beverages on holidays and Election Day at its own discretion.
