The year and month of manufacture for any specific car is part of the VIN number coding and is also specified on the VIN label located on the car. The VIN label's location is dependant on the car manufacturer.
The most common place to find the VIN label is the driver side doorjamb, either on the inside edge under the side mirror or on the door edge where the latch meets the frame. The label is also sometimes under the hood at the engine block front or near the wiper fluid tank. Some cars have the label in the rear tire well above the wheel or under the spare tire.
