Bitumen paint is a type of bituminous coating product that provides weatherproofing and corrosion resistance against the elements. It is used to coat ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals and other construction materials, even in marine environments.
Bitumen paint and other bituminous coatings can be applied to concrete, metal, wood and other construction materials. It is a flexible coating solution that can be used both above and below ground. One of its most common applications is concrete foundations.
Unlike other coatings, bitumen paint does not require thinning or other preparatory work prior to application. It is resistant to harsh chemicals, UV light and high moisture levels, and it protects surfaces from rust.
