A biographical sketch, or a biosketch, is a type of writing generally done to inform the audience of a significant event or small portion of the person's life. A biosketch is similar to a biography in the sense that it unravels a story pertaining to a person's life.
A biosketch may include basic information about the person, such as achievements, skills, education and formal training. It is crucial to obtain information from trusted sources. Any false or misleading information included in a biosketch may question the credibility of the entire book. It is recommended to conduct a bit of research before beginning a biosketch.
