Bible verses discussing Jesus and compassion include Mark 8:2 and Mark 9:22-25. Matthew 20:34, Mark 1:40 and Luke 15:20 are among the other verses dedicated to Jesus' compassion.
In Matthew, Jesus passes by a number of sinners and cripples. After Jesus encounters a group of blind men, Matthew 20:34 says, "Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him." Similar stories are seen in Mark 1:40 and Mark 8:2 when Jesus shows his compassion by healing a leper of his ailments and providing food for a multitude of hungry people. Luke 15:20 discusses how the compassion of Jesus extends to even the sinful and the spiritually dead.
