One benefit of using the LDS Gospel Library app is the ability to download and study scriptures, General Conference talks and many other published materials from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The app offers more functionality than the Church's website and provides mobile-friendly access to LDS magazines, hymns, manuals and curriculum sources.
Though all of the content on Gospel Library is also available on LDS.org, the app allows users to manage and organize LDS content in unique ways. In the Gospel Library app, for instance, a reader can cross-reference passages and create links between them. Another exclusive feature of the Gospel Library app is the ability to highlight an article title or tag and to filter notes from highlights.
The Gospel Library app also shares some functionality with LDS.org, such as collecting annotations within tags or notebooks, creating bookmarks and displaying notes. Gospel Library also permits a user to write and save original journal entries. The app syncs with LDS.org, so any journal entries automatically upload to the user's account on LDS.org.
Gospel Library offers updated content from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in roughly 40 languages, which users can switch between by tapping the Menu button and selecting the desired language.
