Last Updated Mar 25, 2020 9:43:55 AM ET
A PUK code is the Personal Unblock Key code used to unlock a cell phone after being locked out due to entering an incorrect PIN code a certain number of times. The Alcatel PUK code is an eight-digit code given by the service provider and cannot be changed, and the SIM card can be damaged if an incorrect PUK code is entered. If the PUK is entered incorrectly, a new SIM card, along with a new PUK, needs to be obtained from the service provider to unlock and use the phone.
After obtaining the Alcatel PUK code, the phone can be unlocked by following these steps when the phone is powered on:
- Enter the PUK code.
- Select OK.
- Enter new PIN.
- Select OK.
- Re-enter new PIN.
- Select OK.
