Best Answer: Sometimes, but in most cases no. It is the cause of a blood vessel breaking, but if you damage it too much sometimes it cant heal so keep that in mind. Also one person had became paralyzed from getting a hickey because of which vein they damaged, but that was a very rare occurrence, so i wouldn't worry too much.
