Do mealworms like dry areas more or wet areas? Why? ... Mealworms can drown in just a centimeter of water, so they wouldn't live in water, but they would try to drink it if it was available. Mealworms prefer water to vinegar. Vinegar would pretty much kill a mealworm immediately. We've used it for pest control before :).
