I was never too psyched about the Eiffel Tower, but when I went to France last year, it was exciting to see in person. I was shocked by how excited I was to see it. And going up in the tower to the different levels was magnificent. But as other mentioned, the French HATED the tower and thought it was an eyesore. Now it’s so iconic though :)
