Hi EastCoastGirl, Living in Seattle you are indeed familiar with rain, but you are most definitely not familiar with Florida rain-especially the summertime thunderstorms (which is probably not what you will get in April..but I digress). About 10 or more years ago friends came to Florida with there then young teenage son and daughter who had lived their entire lives in Seattle.

Every day from June-October there will be scattered Thunderstorms in Florida. Central Florida is a sub tropical climate while South Florida has a tropical climate. This means a wet summer and dry winter. Most of the time the storms come in around 3-4pm and are over by 5-6pm and the weather is clear again.
