My Remington autoloading shotgun is serial # 140xxx, dates to 1912. Not marked model 11 anywhere, but does have the "Remington UMC" stamp on the underside of the tang behind the trigger guard. No roll marks on the receiver at all, barrel is plain. It had been my father's shotgun since he was young
Greetings Remington Society I recently inherited my grandfathers shotgun collection and apparently he loved OLD Model 11 12 Gauge Shotguns !!!! I intend on restoring two or three of these for my brothers as family heirlooms. Is there a published serial number to manufacturing date for model 11 12ga shotguns I can look up?

I've seen old market hunter 11s with mag extensions and roached finishes over on the Shore with thousands of rounds (and waterfowl) behind them that run perfectly.
