Real life examples of perpendicular lines surround us. They are in buildings, in rooms, television sets, bookshelves and so on. If you are in a room, more than likely you are surrounded by four walls that are all perpendicular to each other. Where they meet creates a line. The ceiling is perpendicular to all four walls, and so is the floor.
