Netherland Dwarf. Shaded Variety Sable Point aaB-cchl-D-ee The nose, ears, feet, and tail are to be a rich sepia brown. The color on the points is to fade rapidly to a rich creamy body surface color, which has a creamy white undercolor.
History. The Netherland Dwarf breed was first produced in the Netherlands in the early 20th century. Small Polish rabbits were bred with smaller wild rabbits; after several generations the resulting animal was a very small domestic rabbit available in a wide variety of colors and patterns. Netherland Dwarfs were first imported into the United Kingdom in 1948.

The Himi gene is temperature-sensitive and allows color to express on the extremeties. The point color will become more intense during cold weather. The best time to raise and show Himis is during the cooler months. "Cold Himis" are kits that have excess color on the back and head due to being chilled in the first few days of life.
