Skull, skeletal framework of the head of vertebrates, composed of bones or cartilage, which form a unit that protects the brain and some sense organs. The skull includes the upper jaw and the cranium. Learn more about the anatomy and function of the skull in humans and other vertebrates.

The most complex part of the skeleton is the skull. It is made of many bones that fit together tightly, to protect the brain and support the face. The upper part of the skull is like a helmet that surrounds the brain. The lower part forms a structure that helps shape your facial features. The bones of the skull slot together like a jigsaw puzzle.
The cranium (skull) is the skeletal structure of the head that supports the face and protects the brain. It is subdivided into the facial bones and the brain case, or cranial vault ().The facial bones underlie the facial structures, form the nasal cavity, enclose the eyeballs, and support the teeth of the upper and lower jaws.
Human Skull Anatomy, the skeletal structure of the highest point of vertebrates, made out of bones or ligament, which shapes a unit that, ensures the brain and some vibe organs. The upper jaw, however now not the diminishing is a piece of the skull. The human head, the component that incorporates the cerebrum, is globular and generally huge in assessment with the face.
The human skull is the bony structure that forms the head in the human skeleton. It supports the structures of the face and forms a cavity for the brain.Like the skulls of other vertebrates, it protects the brain from injury. The skull consists of three parts, of different embryological origin—the neurocranium, the sutures, and the facial skeleton (also called the membraneous viscerocranium).

Human skull anatomy and development. There are 22 bones in the human skull and some of them are paired. Some authors also include one more bone in the skull — the hyoid, which is located under the mandible near the larynx and not directly attached to the other bones of the skull.
This high quality classic skull is medically detailed in structure. It is the perfect tool for professional teaching and study of human anatomy. It can be disassembled into 3-part: Calvaria, Base of Skull, and Mandible. The calvaria is removable to show the internal structure of the skull. The mandible is articulated and removable.
This is a model of the Human (Homo sapiens) skull. The cranium and mandible was exported from CT data. It was then cleaned, adapted and polypainted in ZBrush. In the CT data, the upper teeth and lower teeth were joined as one mesh, therefore I completely remodelled some of the teeth so that the mandible could be detached from the cranium and can be 3D printed separately.
