Many have failed to receive because they have sought the evidence or tongues, rather than the Holy Spirit Himself. We must ask for the Holy Spirit, not the evidence. Scripture clearly indicates that believers are indwelled with the Holy Spirit—that is, the Holy Spirit moves into their hearts—at the moment of conversion. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
