I don't think this map is a fair comparison. The dwarf planets and moon are not comparable with the size of Texas. The map of Texas is a 2d surface, while the celestial bodies used are just a silhouette of their 3d surface. According to NASA Ceres surface area is 1,100,249 square miles whereas according to Wikipedia Texas is 268,581.
