When I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few months ago, I did the same thing I did when I was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) – I joined some support groups on Facebook.. It was the natural thing to do. Joining groups for those who experience PTSD was eye opening and being able to talk with others allowed me to accept and understand my condition.

Sadly, because they're usually run by someone with these illnesses, support groups for us tend to disappear almost as soon as they get started. If there's not a group near you specifically for fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome, and you don't want to start one, feel free to consider support groups for other conditions with similar features.
