The Snapchat messaging service application is completely free to use. It allows people to chat and send pictures or videos from a smartphone or tablet. The Snapchat app is available for both Android and Apple operating systems.
It is possible to use Snapchat from a computer; however, you need to install the BlueStacks App Player to do so. The BlueStacks App player is an Android emulator software that allows you to use Android Applications from your computer.
Snapchat does not have an official client that is compatible with a computer, but users can run Snapchat on a computer by using a Android app emulator, such as Bluestacks. Snapchat users have the same experience using an Android emulator for messages, but camera support is limited.
To start using Snapchat, download the messaging app from your Android or iOS device. After downloading, tap the Snapchat icon and select Create a Free Account. Create your account by entering your email address, password and username.
As of 2014, to add people on Snapchat, users need to tap the friend icon that can be found on the upper-right corner of the My Friends page. Once the button is pressed, users can choose to add friends from a list of their current contacts.
To find people on Snapchat, open the Friends page, select the friend icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, and search for people from your contact list or by their usernames. You can tap the plus icon next to any name to add a person to your list of friends.
Unfortunately, if a user has not added their real name along with their username on SnapChat, there is no way to identify someone's identity based off of their username in the application. If the user has added their real name in the application, it will appear after clicking on the gear symbol next
Snapchat is an instant messaging application. Messages are in the form of photos or videos, called "snaps," and users can specify how long the recipient can view them before they are automatically deleted, with a range of 1 to 10 seconds.
Snapchat does not currently support the feature to change your name as of January 2015. However, you can delete your existing Snapchat account and create a new account with your desired name.
In some ways, Snapchat is not necessarily safe; for example, although pictures disappear within 10 seconds, people can take screen shots of photos or use other devices to acquire screenshots of pictures. Also, because pictures disappear, parents cannot see what photographic messages their children h
