GTA 5, or Grand Theft Auto V, is an action-adventure, open-world video game that was released in September 2013 for the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 video game consoles. Rockstar North developed the game while parent company Rockstar Games released it.

Grand Theft Auto V, often stylized as GTAV, is available as both a single-player campaign mode and an online multiplayer mode for up to 16 players. Grand Theft Auto V has no local multiplayer mode available as of 2015, nor are there plans for one in the future.
Grand Theft Auto Online originally launched on October 1, 2013, for PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 consoles. A release is scheduled for XBOX One and PlayStation 4 consoles on November 18, 2014. A Microsoft Windows version is also scheduled for release on January 27, 2015.
The Grand Theft Auto series is created and distributed by Rockstar Gaming. According to the official Rockstar list of games, there are fifteen games in the series as of August, 2014.
As of 2015, none of the games from the "Grand Theft Auto" series are available on the Wii. "Grand Theft Auto" games are mostly available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Windows computers, handhelds and mobile devices.
"GTA 5" players can sell cars to Los Santos Customs, which has garages in Burton, the Grand Senora Desert and La Mesa, as well as at the International Airport. Selling cars can net between $3,000 and $10,000, depending on the car's make and model, and condition.
