Thank you for the great question. Thermage CPT is a great option if you are looking for non-invasive skin tightening and lifting. It can be used to treat sagging skin, loose jowls and is particularly used when patients do not want a surgical facelift or a surgical neck lift.
With age, skin gradually stops producing collagen and elastin, causing it to wrinkle and sag. It also has a more difficult time repairing itself and firming up after being stretched or damaged. While Thermage does address skin laxity, it has no effect on blemishes, scars, or varicose veins.
Compared to invasive procedures, Thermage® is the safer choice. Unlike lasers that may not work on certain skin types because of the risks of hyperpigmentation, Thermage® can be used on all skin colors. Plus, it only takes a single treatment to achieve optimal results.
The Thermage® system is a non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) treatment that can smooth, tighten and contour skin for an overall younger-looking appearance.

What is Thermage Skin Tightening? One of the most popular anti-aging treatments for skin tightening in NYC is Thermage from Solta Medical. Thermage is an FDA approved Skin Tightening treatment used to tighten loose, lax skin. Thermage is minimally-invasive, and does not require a lengthy recovery period.
Does Thermage work for the neck? When I refer to Thermage on the neck, I mean the actual neck skin, not the loose skin just under the chin (some people get confused about this). I’ve not been impressed with Thermage on neck skin. I’m not sure why it isn’t as successful there. Maybe because the skin is so much thinner than on the face.
While laser treatments and other radiofrequency procedures also tighten skin, no other treatment heats as deeply as Thermage. By heating the innermost layers of skin, Thermage is the most effective at tightening collagen and stimulating the formation of new collagen, which results in tighter skin and an overall younger looking appearance.
