The crunches are just building the muscle under the layer of fat. Spot training doesnt work just because you do crunches doesn't mean that the fat is pulled just from the gut. Yes the squats will help tone the thighs but like I said to lose the fat your going to have to cardio about 45 minutes 3 days a week and keep to a strict diet.

I agree with Maximus. You don't need to do 300 crunches to get the results. The BEST way doing it is SLOW. Oxygen, M&F Hers, and M&F are against doing 300 crunches a day. They said you don't get results and the result is you'll hurt yourself. They recommend 3 sets of 12-25 reps per exercise.
