On many vehicles, the wiper control module is located beneath the dashboard on the driver's side and adjacent to the wiper motor. In some models of vehicles, the module is positioned in a more well-hidden location beneath the dashboard.
The wiper control module of a vehicle is often black in color and contains two five-pin, white-colored connectors. The module also has a ground wire that is screwed to one of its sides. Normally, the wiper control module is secured to the vehicle by two screws.
When replacing the wiper control module in a vehicle, first disconnect the connector that connects the module to the wiper motor. Also, disconnect the washer pump and its hoses, and the driver-rod and the wiper arm. Then, unfasten the module by removing the screws that hold it in position.
