To wax a car, park a freshly washed car out of direct sunlight. Wet the applicator, and dip it into the wax. Rub the wax onto the car in sections. Allow the wax to dry slightly, and then use a microfiber towel to remove the wax and buff the car.
- Prepare the car
Wash and dry the car thoroughly before applying wax, then move the car out of direct sunlight.
- Add the wax to the applicator
Wet the applicator that typically comes with the container of wax so that it is damp. Dip the damp applicator into the container of wax. If you are using a liquid wax, you may have to pour the wax onto the applicator or a terry cloth rag.
- Apply the wax to the car
Apply the wax to the car using small, circular strokes. Work on one small section of the car at a time. Allow the liquid to dry slightly so that it leaves a hazy residue on the car.
- Buff the wax off
Use a folded microfiber towel to wipe off the wax, using the same circular strokes. Turn the towel over, and use the clean side to buff the section to a high shine.
