In February 2015, the most commonly sold car in America was the Ford F-Series. It was followed closely by another pickup truck, the Chevy Silverado.
Both the Ford F-Series and the Silverado have reigned as America's most wanted cars. Formerly, the Ram 1500 was the third most coveted vehicle, but in early 2015 it was surpassed by the Toyota Camry. The Ram 1500 is followed in turn by the Nisan Altima, Toyota Corolla and Ford Fusion. Each of these cars is in the medium-sized sedan class.
The most popular SUV was the Honda CR-V, which also ranked as the eighth most commonly sold vehicle. A study by Edmunds.com found that the CR-V was the most commonly researched vehicle in America. The second and third most researched vehicles covered by the Edmunds study were the Subaru Outback and the Honda Pilot, respectively, though neither of these two cars were in the top ten most sold vehicles, indicating a low demand after customers completed their online research. Two other SUVs, the Toyota RAV4 and the Chevy Equinox, both made AutoBlog's list of best selling cars in the US. The RAV4 is the only example of the smaller crossover SUV style to make the list.
