There are two primary vehicle storage options: inside storage and outside storage. Inside storage includes the garage, carport and the storage unit options. An outdoor storage option can be a driveway or a parking space.
A storage unit designed particularly for vehicles offers a climate-controlled setting and keeps away rodents; however, unlike a home garage, a storage unit is not free.
A carport is ideal if the garage option is not available. While a carport offers a vehicle protection from the elements, it does not protect the vehicle against theft.
The disadvantage of an outdoor storage option is that it does not provide a vehicle with protection from the elements.
