To use a tire spin-balancing machine, secure the tire to the machine using wedge-shaped donuts. Enter the wheel size information, and select a dynamic balance. Lower the hood, and let the tire spin until the machine stops spinning. Respin the wheel again by lowering the hood, and adjust the weights to zero.
- Secure the tire to the machine
Use the wedge-shaped metal donuts pressed into the hole of the rim to secure the tire to the machine. Arrange the rim in a flush position with a cup attached to the bar exposed in the sideways of the machine.
- Enter the wheel size information
Enter the information of the wheel size into the computer. The information consists of the rim size, the diameter and the distance from the machine. The rim size is printed on the tire, while the rim diameter is calculated using a pincer-like tool.
- Choose the dynamic balance, and lower the hood
Press the mode selection button until you see the dynamic light. Lower the hood, and let the tire spin until the machine stops spinning. Raise the hood, and display the tire until the display shows the tire as being top dead center. Tap the weight on the rim using a hammer on both sides of the rim. Spin the wheel by lowering the hood and adjusting the weights until the readout indicates zero.
