2016 Volkswagen models do not include the Carefree Maintenance program. Instead, the Volkswagen Care program covers services the first three years or 30,000 miles for a purchase price of around $390 to $510. Volkswagen Care Plus includes the fourth and fifth years of ownership, up to 50,000 miles, from around $440 to $690.

Service for Volkswagen vehicles that have 10,000 miles includes fluid checks, oil changes, tire rotation and the inspection of the airbag, rear window and windshield wipers. Vehicles with 20,000, 60,000 or 100,000 miles should have the original inspection, as well as a brake inspection, battery check, tire check, and replacement of the dust and fuel filters.

Vehicles with 30,000, 50,000, 70,000, 90,000 and 110,000 miles receive the original inspection, an examination of the front and rear brakes, and a change of both the brake and clutch fluids.
