The Volvo new car warranty spans four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, according to Bankrate. Bankrate further states that Volvo offers one of the most generous car warranties in the industry.
Most car manufacturers separate their basic, or bumper-to-bumper, warranties from their power train warranties, providing a longer term for the power train warranties, as Car Lemon explains. Volvo, however, does not do this. Volvo also provides a 12-year corrosion protection warranty rather than the typical six-year warranty. It also provides new car owners with their first three visits for factory-scheduled maintenance for free. In addition, Volvo provides free roadside assistance service for four years, as Bankrate explains.
