The Saturn Ion has had ignition switch problems responsible for the sudden failure of the electric power steering system, causing surprised drivers to lose control. This unexpected malfunction has resulted in 13 deaths as of 2015.
Crash tests revealed a frightening rollover risk for the Saturn Vue. The safety test subjected the vehicle to a "fishhook" scenario, simulating a motorist quickly swerving left then right.
