Single-rider sport-and-utility styles as well as multipassenger, side-by-side models are some types of all-terrain vehicles available from Yamaha, as of 2015. Several single-rider machines are available in the Kodiak and Grizzly model lines, while the Wolverine and Viking models offer passenger-seating options.
Trail riding is the primary focus of the Grizzly. It is equipped with a high-tech engine designed for high-performance and aggressive trail riding. The Grizzly has packages available with a chassis, a five-way preload adjustable suspension system, and four-wheel disc brakes to make it usable, durable, comfortable and safe on very rough terrain. Some units come with high-performance transmissions and on-demand four-wheel drive.
Yamaha Kodiak ATVs come equipped to work with a heavy-duty transmission and stock, center-mounted, 2-inch receiver hitch that can tow more than 1,300-pound loads. The Kodiak is outfitted with halogen headlights, a handlebar-mounted auxiliary light, large storage compartments, and large front and rear racks for tools and supplies.
The Wolverines can accommodate a driver and a passenger. It comes in two- wheel, four-wheel limited slip and four-wheel full differential drive models. It has an automotive-style cab with bucket seats and three-point seatbelts for safety. The Viking and Viking VI offer feature upgrades over the Wolverine, as well as three- and four-rider seating capacity, respectively.
