What Types of Cars Do the Barrett-Jackson Auctions Sell?

As of 2015, Barrett-Jackson offers a wide variety of different classic, antique and collector's cars, motorcycles and other vehicles at its various auctions. Some of the previous vehicles sold at Barrett-Jackson auctions include a 1950 Chevrolet Deluxe four-door sedan, a 1970 GMC 2500 Camper Special long bed pickup, a 1969 Buick Electra and a 2001 Husqvarna 125 motorcycle that was featured in the film "XXX" starring Vin Diesel.

Known as "the World's Greatest Collector Car Auctions," Barrett-Jackson features at least four different auctions per year. The auctions are held in Reno/Tahoe, Nevada; Las Vegas, Nevada; Palm Beach, Florida and Scottsdale, Arizona, which is also where the company has its headquarters. The company also hosts the annual Barrett-Jackson Cup.

Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale auction lasts for eight days and typically features more than 1,000 vehicles. Held at Scottsdale's WestWorld every year since 1989, the auction generally draws more than 200,000 spectators and is broadcast on Speed TV. The event also features fashion shows, drifting competitions and driving demonstrations.

Barrett-Jackson auctions also regularly feature motorcycles, boats, airplanes, trucks and classic American automobile memorabilia.

The auction began in the 1960s as a small operation started by two car enthusiasts, Tom Barrett and Russ Jackson. Barrett-Jackson now boasts hundreds of millions in annual sales.
