Triangle tires are a brand of vehicle tires produced for a variety of cars and trucks by the Chinese company The Triangle Group. The company was founded in 1976 and has since grown to be one of the largest tire exporters in Asia.
Triangle tires are approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation and distributed in over 150 countries worldwide, as of 2015. A large part of the company's international distribution is through partnerships with major manufacturers of vehicles and tires, including Caterpillar, Goodyear, Volvo, Hyundai and Sandvik.
The company produces over 700 types of radial tires in more than 160 sizes, as well as nearly 400 types of bias tires in more than 100 sizes. The company's primary product focus is on radial tire development for passenger vehicles, and off-the-road radials for industrial, agricultural, construction and mining operations.
Triangle tires are available through many U.S. tire retail stores and online outlets, including Performance Plus, Simple Tire and VulcanTire.com. Many of the companies offer free shipping for tires purchased online, or by mail order.
The Triangle Group does all the research and development for its tires internally. The company has four production plants in China and 8,000 employees, and does around $2 billion in business annually.
