The 2015 Toyota Tundra tows more than 5 tons with a maximum towing capacity of 10,500 pounds. The Tundra's outboard-mounted shocks are staggered to provide optimal torsional stability, and its TripleTech frame is similar to those found on dump trucks. Twelve bolts on its available trailer hitch secure the trailer to the frame rail, and it is equipped with a combination meter that displays trailer data on the car's digital dashboard during transit.
The Tundra features a Tow/Haul mode to extend the range of the lower gears and protect the transmission when hauling heavy loads. Additional features include a blind-spot monitor and choice of 4x4 or 4x2 off-roading packages with a built-in hitch receiver and trail-sway control.
