To begin building, set the spoke elbows, as the spokes are designed to provide the wheel with a longer and more reliable service life. If the spoke elbows are not installed correctly, the spokes may begin to loosen up, resulting in early damage and wear to the wheel.
Build with uniform spoke tension, as this helps prevent individual spokes from reaching low tension levels and compromising the design and durability of the wheel. Use a mild thread locking compound to lubricate and lock the threads for even spoke tension. Monitor the spoke tension to make sure that your wheel can absorb, transfer and distribute forces during use.
