The GMC Sierra is another pickup truck touted for its towing performance and uses a 6.6 Duramax turbo diesel engine to pull over 16,700 pounds. The Chevy Silverado is essentially the same truck as the GMC Sierra and has equal pulling power. The Dodge Ram 350 falls right beneath these two vehicles in towing capacity. The Ram is powered by the Cummins 5.9 liter turbo diesel engine and maxes out at about 16,400 pounds of towing capacity.
The International MXT is a smaller version of the CXT and provides a pulling capacity of 16,000 pounds. The Toyota Tundra offers a towing capacity of 10,000 pounds, while the Nissan Frontier tows up to 9,500 pounds. The Cadillac Escalade, known as a luxury vehicle, is capable of towing 7,300 pounds. Likewise, the Hummer H2 is not primarily known as a workhorse but is able to pull 7,000 pounds.
