The 2016 Jeep Gladiator Pickup Truck is a full-sized pickup with several standard improvements. The Gladiator stands 1,900 millimeters high and comes with a V6 engine capable of producing 285 horsepower and 260 foot-pounds of torque. The model also comes with an expanded mid-gate and 5-foot-8-inch bed.
The new Gladiator's body structure appears stronger than previous models, and the interior of the truck is upholstered with high-quality, waterproof materials that provide a comfortable ride. Additionally, the upholstery can be customized upon request. If the Gladiator's 5-foot-8-inch bed is turned down, it can be extended to 8 feet and 11 inches. The vehicle also comes standard with GPS and a navigational system.
Two engines are available for the 2016 Gladiator, with the first option a V6 and the second option a 2.8-liter four-diesel engine that can produce 160 horsepower and 295 foot-pounds of torque. The second option gives drivers the ability to increase the gas mileage they get out of their truck. Both engines are paired to a standard six-speed automatic transmission.
The price point of the new Gladiator before taxes and fees is approximately $26,500, depending on features, options and dealership costs. The truck is expected to appear in showrooms by the end of 2015.
