Powered by a six-cylinder diesel N13 engine, the ProStar 113 produces up to 410 horsepower at 1,700 rpm, and 1,450 pounds-feet of torque at 1,000. Each engine piston is 4.96 in bore and 6.54 inches in stroke and can displace 758 cubic inches of air at a compression ratio of 16.5:1. The engine features dual staged turbochargers, a direct injection combustion system and four overhead cam actuated valves per cylinder.
Featuring air drum brakes with ABS as standard, the ProStar 113 also offers optional air drum brakes with automatic traction control and roll stability. The truck features a touchscreen infotainment system that runs on Android and advanced electronics that measure driving behaviour.
In comparison, the six-cylinder diesel-powered Cummins ISX15 engine in the LoneStar displaces 912 cubic inches of air at 18.9:1 compression ratio. This allows the truck to produce up to 400 horsepower at 1,650 rpm and 1,650 pounds-feet of torque at 1,100 rpm. The engine has a turbocharger and uses a direct injection XPI fuel system. While Meritor AntiLock brakes come as standard, customer can upgrade to the optional Bendix AntiLock brakes.
