The Cadillac Elmiraj is a concept vehicle under development, so final specifications and features are speculative, as of 2015. Cadillac unveiled the Elmiraj at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance car show on Aug. 15, 2013. Cadillac has not set a commercial release date.
The Elmirage is a high-performance luxury two-door coupe with a similar target market as the Audi A8, BMW 7 series and Mercedes-Benz S-class vehicles. For power, Cadillac uses its baseline twin-turbo six-cylinder technology, expanding it to a 4.5-liter 500-horsepower V8 engine. Purportedly, the Elmiraj has a long wheelbase and rear-wheel drive to heighten its performance.
Exterior lines hint at a similarity with the classic 1967 Cadillac Eldorado. An elongated dash-to-axle profile provides a distinct Cadillac form. The vehicle’s frame construction is reportedly composed largely of aluminum and carbon fiber alloy; however, chassis and structural designs are ongoing.
The interior is still in development but may follow closely to the concept version with four camel-leather seats similar to the Cadillac Ciel concept car. The concept Elmiraj has a single piece control panel assist, a black and tan leather dashboard and backlit titanium and Brazilian Rosewood doors. The dashboard should accommodate a 10-inch touch-screen display like the CTS series.
