The 2015 Cadillac CTS-V features a 556-horsepower V-8 engine, dual-mode magnetic ride control and Brembo performance brakes with red calipers. Cadillac pairs the 6.2-liter engine with a six-speed manual transmission. The car delivers 551 pounds of torque per foot and achieves 19 miles per gallon on the highway.
The 2015 CTS-V rides on a four-wheel independent suspension with stabilizer bars at the front and back of the car. An unequal length in the double wishbone suspension at the front increases cornering ability, while a multi-link rear suspension increases ride comfort. Front and rear ventilated disc brakes, assisted by an anti-lock brake system, bring the car to a stop.
A driver-focused cockpit features 14-way power leather seats with multi-level heating capabilities and power adjusted lumbar support. An interior air filtration system and dual-zone climate controls keep the driver and passengers comfortable. Its Bose Premium audio system consists of 10 speakers, a subwoofer and surround audio technology. Memorized settings remember seat, steering wheel and audio system preferences for two drivers.
A voice-activated navigation system provides real-time traffic information and a Bluetooth wireless data link. A post-collision safety system warns drivers of potential hazards and provides intelligent brake assist for collision avoidance. The CTS-V includes front and rear head airbags, dual front side-mounted airbags and occupant-sensing deactivation for passenger airbags.
