The 2015 Dodge Challenger is a two-door rear-wheel coupe powered by a 3.6-liter V6 producing 305 horsepower and 268 foot-pounds of torque in its base SXT trim. More powerful engines are available as options, including a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 in the Challenger Hellcat model.
In addition to the SXT trim, the Dodge Challenger is available in the R/T trim that upgrades the car's engine to a 5.7-liter V8 that produces 375 horsepower and 410 foot-pounds of torque when mated to the standard six-speed manual transmission. The SRT and R/T Scat Pack trims pack in an even larger 6.4-liter V8 that outputs a peak 485 horsepower and 475 foot-pounds of torque. The major differences between the SRT and Scat Pack trims are the larger brakes, adaptive suspension, leather seating and premium sound system included in the SRT. The most powerful version of the 2015 Challenger is the Hellcat edition, whose 6.2-liter V8 produces 707 horsepower and 650 foot-pounds of torque with the aid of an IHI charge-cooled supercharger. One unique feature of the Hellcat is its two separate key fobs, one of which is used to activate a lower-powered "street" driving mode and the other to activate the full-power mode of the engine.
