The base LS trim of the 2015 Chevrolet Impala is fitted with 18-inch steel wheels, a six-speaker CD sound system, Bluetooth and USB connectivity options, the General Motors OnStar emergency communications system and cellular networking with 4G and Wi-Fi capability. Upgrading to the LT trim substitutes alloy wheels for the steel wheels of the LS and adds the MyLink infotainment system to the car. Several option packages are available for the LT trim, including an appearance package with a rear spoiler and a standalone sunroof option. The LTZ trim includes the features of a fully-optioned LT along with a leather interior, but it omits the spoiler and sunroof. Only the LT and LTZ trims are available with the optional gasoline V6, while the bi-fuel engine is available in LS and LT trims.
The optional 3.6-liter V6 available in the 2015 Impala produces 305 horsepower and 264 foot-pounds of torque. It is rated for 21 miles per gallon in combined driving, slightly lower than the 25 mpg of the base engine. The bi-fuel engine is a modified version of the V6 that produces only 230 horsepower and 218 foot-pounds of torque when running on natural gas. The trunk of a bi-fuel Impala is modified with a CNG tank that holds the energy equivalent of 7.8 gallons of gasoline.Learn more about Car Makes & Models
