The Boeing 797 does not actually exist. It has been rumored to be in the works since 2006 and has been described as a 1,000-passenger aircraft with no clear distinction in the design between the body of the airplane and its wings. In 2006, Boeing also denied that the plane was in the company's design plans for the next 20 years.
Boeing claimed that pictures of the alleged aircraft were fabricated. Boeing also claimed that, while there were no plans to make a blended wing body commercial aircraft, the company was working with NASA and the United States Air Force to better understand the design.
