What Are Some Specifications of the 2015 Cadillac CTS Coupe?

The 2015 Cadillac CTS-V coupe is a two-door luxury vehicle powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 556 peak horsepower and 551 foot-pounds of torque. While the base CTS coupe was discontinued in 2014, a limited number of CTS-V coupes were produced for that model year.

The Cadillac CTS coupe line was produced from 2011 to 2014, but the model was discontinued for the introduction of the third-generation CTS in 2013, partially due to the debut of the Cadillac ATS coupe. The 2015 CTS-V was intended as a final tribute to the second-generation CTS coupe line. The CTS-V shares much of its mechanical underpinnings with the Chevrolet Corvette, most notably the supercharged pushrod V8 engine based on the engine used in the ZR1 supercar. Though the CTS-V's LSA engine is not as powerful as the 638-horsepower LS9 in the ZR1, it is still potent enough to accelerate the CTS-V from 0 to 60 miles per hour in four seconds. The engine is paired with either a six-speed manual transmission made by Tremec or a conventional six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode.

Though many of its mechanical parts are shared with the Corvette, the CTS-V's interior is considerably better appointed than that of its performance-oriented relative. Most of the luxury features available on the standard CTS were also included on the CTS-V. However, owners also had the option of Recaro sport seats that offered better support during spirited driving.
