What Are the Special Features of a Bugatti Veyron?

The 2015 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 offers special features such as self-adjusting driving configuration; an eight-liter W16 engine with four turbochargers that can generate over 1,000 horsepower; and a dual-clutch gearbox that can transfer engine torque of up to 1,500 Newton-meter to the road surface. This version also features AC injection pumps that maintain constant fuel supply to the engine, sophisticated airflow patterns for efficient cooling and a high-performance braking system.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 features the ability to adjust configuration according to the road scenario without the driver’s intervention. Veyron’s 16-cylinder lightweight engine is capable of operating under continuous full load. Bugatti uses AC fuel injection pumps to meet the demands of this high-performance vehicle. To meet road regulations, Bugatti developed a special fuel tank with the help of engineers in the aerospace industry. Veyron’s fuel tank has an external Teflon coating that offers a residual capacity of three liters and maximum lateral acceleration of 1.4G.

The arrangement of cylinder banks in a W configuration gives the engine its compact design. The tires for Veyron feature pressure sensors and are developed to withstand speeds of up to 400 kmph. The vehicle’s aerodynamic braking system features carbon-ceramic brake discs that can withstand surface temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees.
