CarHop's services include selling vehicles and providing customers with financing to help fund their vehicle purchases. The company's financing system is done with the financial backing of the Universal Acceptance Corporation and does not use funding from banks or credit unions.
CarHop's financing department claims to be able to provide financing for most of its buyers, regardless of whether or not they are in possession of a bad credit score or no credit score at all. Each vehicle purchased from CarHop also includes a limited warranty that protects the vehicles to up to either 18,000 miles or 18 months. Customers can also return their cars within three days of purchase if they are not fully satisfied, as of 2015.
CarHop vehicle buyers are not required to get full coverage car insurance when making their purchases. CarHop vehicles also generally require a lower down payment for purchase, allowing buyers to use their new vehicles in shorter amounts of time. Customers looking to purchase a CarHop vehicle are required to bring a driver's license, recent utility bill, trade title, references and proof of income.
