As of 2015, some of the best-selling Coachmen RVs include the Coachmen Freelander 26RS, the Coachman Freelander 21RS, the Coachmen Freelander QB and the Coachmen Freelander 27QB. All are Class C rigs, which have the truck-like cab and the overhang section which usually contains a sleeping area. These models have a manufacturer's suggested retail price, or MSRP, of between $80,000 and $90,000 and five-star ratings in performance, quality, reliability, interior design and overall value.
The Freelander 26RS is 27 feet long from bumper to bumper and has a 10-cylinder Triton gas engine and automatic transmission. The floor plan offers a queen bed in the back, a sleeping section in the overhang, a sofa bed and a dinette that also converts to a bed. One slide-out is on the driver's side.
The Freelander 21RS has the same engine and transmission but is shorter, at 24 feet long. The slide-out on the driver's side rear accommodates the side-loaded queen bed and makes the bedroom more spacious. It also has a sleeping section in the overhang and a dinette that converts to a bed.
The Freelander 29K, at 31 feet long, is the longest RV in the top four. It also has the longest slide-out, which is on the passenger side and accommodates the sofa bed and part of the kitchen. The Freelander 22QB, at 24 feet long, is similar to the 21RS but the bathroom is in the rear corner of the rig, next to the more-compact bedroom. Both rigs also have the same engine and transmission as the other RVs listed.
