Car and Driver appreciated the vehicle's fast acceleration while bemoaning its hard plastic interior.
Other positive aspects noted about the Dodge Magnum's performance included the vehicle's unique, contemporary exterior styling, excellent traction capabilities and high quality handling.
Dodge manufactured and sold the Magnum from 2005 to 2008 with a base price of around $32,000, but the vehicle is no longer produced. All Magnum models featured five-speed automatic transmissions with manumatic shifting.
