Full Answer

  1. Find the headlight

Open the engine compartment hood, and locate the headlight near the front. Look inside the bulb holder, and search for a power connector comprised of three wires connected to the headlight bulb.

  2. Take out the power wires

Take out the power wires attached to the plug at the base of the headlight. If a plastic lever holds the plug in place, press down on the lever while pulling out the plug. If a metal clip holds the plug, hold the clip tightly, and pull it up and away. If a screw cap holds the plug, unscrew the cap counter-clockwise with your screwdriver.

  3. Remove the old bulb

Once the power wires are disconnected, remove the back of the headlight to access the old bulb. Hold on to the base, and remove the bulb. If necessary, rotate the bulb to free it.

  4. Replace the bulb

Install the new bulb to the base of the plug. Make sure none of the bulb's rubber gasket is showing. Replace the headlight holder, and reattach the power wires. Test the new headlight bulb.
