As of July 2015, Chevrolet has issued five recalls for the 2006 Trailblazer stemming from issues involving mislabeled equipment, electrical systems, power steering, power windows and headlights. Some of the recalls affected only a small number of vehicles, but two of them affected over 250,000 Trailblazers.
The electrical system recall was the largest and stemmed from potentially leaky seals in the doors that could allow fluid into the controls for the power doors and windows. This could cause a short in the control board that could result in a fire, even when the car was not running. Chevrolet advised owners not to park the vehicle in a garage until the problem was fixed.
